As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we’re counting our abundant blessings at Child Advocates of Montgomery County. We have so much to be thankful for because of you. Because of your volunteer efforts, we have expanded our programs to serve even more children and families. Our Justice-Involved Youth (JIY) and Educational Advocacy programs continue to grow. The need in our community is great, and we will make an even bigger impact in 2025!

Successful Texas CASA audit

We are grateful to have successfully completed our Texas CASA Audit with 100% compliance. This is only possible because of your diligence in ensuring your visits and documentation are completed on time. Thank you for the connections you build and the safety you ensure on behalf of the children we serve.

Texas CASA Conference

In October, our team attended the Texas CASA Conference in Galveston, an incredible opportunity to strengthen our collaboration with Texas CASA. The Director of TBRI® and Community Education, Jennifer Reitmeyer, and I presented on the innovation we’ve brought to our organization and community through Trust-Based Relational Intervention®. Our team also participated in several workshops and seminars to further their advocacy skills and knowledge of children and families in crisis. Child Advocates is the only organization in Texas with advocacy programs for child welfare, juvenile justice, and truancy, as well as an education division dedicated to building a trauma-informed community. As we continue to be a game-changer in advocacy, many other programs are watching our success and hoping to join us in the future.

Volunteers make the difference

Hope prevails at Child Advocates because of you! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we express our gratitude for your being a caring and dedicated volunteer for the children and families who need you. Every single hour you volunteer makes a lasting difference in the life of a child.

We wish your family a Thanksgiving filled with togetherness, football, and lots of pie!
